Our Approach
At A&G Flag Football, we focus on developing elite players through competitive travel teams and engaging clinic-style leagues. Under Coach Erin and Coach Esco's leadership, athletes will master football fundamentals, learn key terminology and strategy, improve technique, and build the confidence and teamwork needed to compete at a high level — all in a positive, empowering environment.

Coach Erin Wong
"I'm thrilled to be coaching with A&G Flag Football! Flag football is an incredibly fun sport, and I'm proud to help create a competitive yet supportive environment where girls can develop their skills, build confidence, and thrive both on and off the field."
I'm a World Championship Adult Flag Football competitor and co-coach of the Acalanes High School Girls Flag Football team alongside Coach Esco. Together, we won the inaugural DAL Tournament Championship in 2023.
I also work as a medical researcher at Kaiser Permanente's Division of Research, where I study cardiovascular risk factors in a long-term cohort study that began in 1989.
My goal as a coach is to help young athletes discover and reach their full potential. I'm especially passionate about empowering young ladies to express themselves confidently, stand up for themselves, and know they deserve respect in every space.

Coach Joe Escobar
Coach Esco
"As a coach across many sports, I've seen the powerful sense of unity and camaraderie that football creates. I'm excited to bring that same experience to the girls and young women in our community through A&G Flag Football."
Coach Esco brings tremendous experience and energy to A&G Flag Football. He is Co-Head Coach of Acalanes Girls Flag Football, Head Coach of Acalanes Track & Field, and has served as a strength coach for Acalanes Girls Basketball.
As a flag football coach, he helped lead the team to the inaugural DAL Tournament Championship in 2023. In track & field, he has coached a state champion, won multiple DAL Team and Division titles (2019, 2022, 2023, 2024), guided the Acalanes 4x100 relay to a school record, state silver medals, and back-to-back NCS titles in 2023 and 2024.
He also has 10 years of tackle football coaching experience at Acalanes and Las Lomas. Off the field, Coach Esco teaches 6th grade science at Pleasant Hill Middle School.
